Dr. Jakob Guhn is partner in the Düsseldorf office of Field
Fisher Waterhouse. His practice areas include
trade mark,
design, unfair competition and
copyright law.
His practice focuses on contentious litigation
matters and thus he regularly appears in court. Jakob has also a
broad experience in advising international clients on anti piracy
strategies as customs matter and trade fair surveillance and in
advising on marketing campaigns and product roll-outs in the
European market.
Jakob wrote his doctoral thesis on the
protection of IP rights through border measures at the University
of Cologne. Jakob also published an article about .eu-domains in "K
& R 02/2007" and held several lectures on IP issues, inter alia
at the "eco - Anti Spam Summit 2008".
Jakob is a certified IP Lawyer (Fachanwalt für gewerblichen
Rechtsschutz) and he is member of the Association for Intellectual
Property and Copyright law (GRUR) and of the German-Italian Law
Association.
He speaks German, English and Italian.
