Dr. Dr. Jochen Herr is a partner in our
Munich office of Field Fisher Waterhouse. He studied mechanical and
process engineering as well as law. He is one of the few lawyers in
Germany who is admitted as an attorney at law, patent attorney and
European patent attorney.
His double qualification as attorney at law
and patent attorney allows Jochen to provide clients with a
comprehensive consultation and representation in patent and utility
model law. He specialises in representing clients in litigation
proceedings before the courts and patent offices (infringement
proceedings, cancellation proceedings, nullity proceedings,
opposition proceedings). Here he can call on his vast experience in
different technical fields (inter alia mechanical and plant
engineering, high-tech, medical products, pharma, biotechnology).
He also gathered expertise at the interface between patent law and
antitrust law (for example FRAND objection at standard-relevant
patents).
Jochen is also experienced in license
agreements, research and development contracts as well as matters
of know-how protection. Furthermore, he advises companies in all
matters of patent strategies.
Jochen is a frequent speaker at patent
seminars and conferences. He speaks German, English and French.
