Amerjit is a partner in the corporate department and a specialist in
takeovers and equity capital markets work. He also regularly
advises on acquisitions and disposals for both private and listed
clients, joint ventures, restructurings and reorganisations.
Amerjit was seconded to the Panel on Takeovers
and Mergers from 2007 to 2009. During this time, he was responsible
for regulating a wide variety of transactions, including
recommended, hostile and competitive offers as well as secondary
equity issues and other Takeover Code related matters. Amerjit was
the case officer responsible for Northern Rock, Lonmin, Reuters,
Newcastle United and Alfred McAlpine, amongst many others. He has
also provided training sessions on The Takeover Code to many of the
leading investment banks in the City and other professional
bodies.
Amerjit also specialises in equity capital
markets work, acting for both issuers and their advisers.
Amerjit is the co-head of the firm's India Practice Group.
