Katherine Mingay is a senior associate in our Public and Regulatory Law Group, specialising in
the public sector and life sciences
& healthcare sectors.
Katherine investigates fitness to practise allegations including
large scale cases and has extensive advocacy experience before a
wide range of regulatory tribunals and courts including the
disciplinary panels of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Nursing
and Midwifery Council and General Social Care Council.
Katherine also advises regulators on issues relating to fitness
to practise procedures; registration; policy; information
governance, protection of title and the interpretation of statutory
rules. She also acts for regulators in relation to appeals, civil
claims and applications for judicial review. Whilst on secondment
at the General Social Care Council, Katherine gained a sound
understanding of the requirements of regulatory bodies.
Katherine has lectured and written articles on data protection
and recent regulatory and disciplinary law cases and has provided
training on issues relating to investigations, hearings and
appeals.
