Teresa was called to the Bar in 2001.
After practising in Chambers for 3 and a half years, Teresa joined
the Nursing and Midwifery Council as one of their In-house
Barristers. Following two years with the NNC, Teresa joined
the Professional Regulatory team at Blake Lapthorn, where she
remained for three and a half years as a Senior Lawyer before
joining the team at Field Fisher Waterhouse as Senior
Associate.
Teresa is a specialist in regulatory law and has acted for a number of
regulatory bodies in the healthcare and education sectors, managing
investigations, advising clients and presenting lengthy and complex
hearings before a number of committees.
Teresa regularly speaks at seminars and provides training to
Committee members. Whilst at Blake Lapthorn Teresa was the author
of a monthly legal bulletin, and regularly provided clients with
updates on legal developments within the sector. Whilst practising
in Chambers, she completed an LLM (Medical Law) graduating with
distinction.
She is recognized as an "up and coming" lawyer in the field,
according to Chambers and Partners 2010, where she is quoted as
being "robust but never hostile" in relation to her advocacy.
Teresa speaks English (native), Italian (conversational) and
French (basic).
Teresa is a member of ARDL and HRBA.
