Carlos has extensive experience advising clients in the
energy sector, with
a particular focus on energy infrastructure. He also advises
institutional and corporate clients on a broad range of property
matters including sustainability and energy related issues.
Carlos's clients include utility companies, corporates,
developers and funders. He has acted for key client National Grid
since 1999 and has acted for clients such as E.ON, Gaz de France,
Falck Renewables Express Energy, Wind Prospect and Star
Energy. He advises on conventional, nuclear and renewable
energy plants and developments in the electricity, gas and nuclear
sectors. He has particular expertise advising on bio-mass,
waste-to-energy and wind farm developments and advises on
maximising on-site energy usage, the use and development of
combined heat and power (CHP) plants and the impact of the CRC
Energy Efficiency Scheme and the Carbon Agenda.
In addition, Carlos has considerable experience advising on all
aspects of real
estate matters including CPOs, property investment, funding,
development together with specialist knowledge of the
telecommunications sector.
Carlos has written for the Estates Gazette and Property
Week.
Carlos is a regular speaker at external and internal engagements
being a regular speaker on energy matters to the RICS. He has
spoken widely on the impact of energy matters on the Built and
Urban Environments.
