Graeme
Payne has over nine years' experience across the breadth of brand
management transactional advice, a large percentage of which is
international. His areas of focus are franchising and licensing and promotions,
marketing and sponsorship.
In the franchising, licensing and
distribution field Graeme advises on both domestic and
international franchising and licensing from strategic reviews to
advising and coordinating pan continental roll-outs. Graeme works
closely with franchisors and licensors assisting them with the
conceptualisation and structuring of their concepts.
Graeme assists both franchisors and companies using franchising
as a tool for corporate development, on structural, commercial,
operational and expansion issues. Graeme has particular
expertise in the retail, food and beverage and services sectors and
has assisted a number of UK and US businesses with their expansion
into the Middle East and the Far East.
In the promotions, marketing and sponsorship sector Graeme’s
work ranges from drafting terms and conditions for promotions, and
drafting and advising on Client/Agency Advertising Agreements and
sponsorship agreements.
He has extensive experience of working with, and co-ordinating
and managing Foreign Counsel on multi-jurisdiction advertising/
promotional campaigns. In addition to assisting domestic
advertisers and advertising agencies, Graeme works closely with the
Incorporated Society of British Advertisers and their members.
Outside of franchising Graeme’s brand licensing work focuses on
the technology, transport industry and life
sciences and healthcare sectors.
Graeme has written articles for Franchise World,
Franchise Business and Law Alert and Business
Franchise Magazine and has spoken at a number of international
franchising seminars including in Mumbai, India to a number of both
Indian and International retailers. Graeme also speaks at British
Franchise Association events and seminars. Outside of franchising
he has spoken on data protection, sponsorship and endorsement.
