Joe Payne
is a partner in our Real Estate group.
Joe was called to the bar in 1998 and, having requalified as a
solicitor, joined the firm in 2008. He specialises in property litigation and contentious planning
issues. He was made a partner in 2009. Joe is described in
Chambers UK, 2010 as "impressively commercial"
and he has considerable experience of many areas of
contentious property work, including commercial lease renewals,
disputes concerning both leasehold and freehold covenants, rent
reviews, all types of possession proceedings, boundary disputes,
adverse possession issues, planning disputes (particularly judicial
review) and professional negligence claims. He has dealt with
many cases in the High Court and the Lands Tribunal and has acted
for clients from many different sectors of the property
industry.
