Alix Rejman works in our Public and Regulatory Law Group where she
regularly advises on issues of public law and statutory
interpretation, professional conduct and discipline. Alix
specialises in the public sector, life sciences, healthcare and police
sectors.
Alix has acted for a diverse range of clients in judicial
reviews and statutory appeals, on matters ranging from the
interpretation and application of EU legislation to general issues
of vires. She investigates and prepares cases for disciplinary
panels and appeal tribunals, on behalf of both the regulators and
the regulated. Alix has also been involved in the drafting and
amendment of regulatory and disciplinary schemes, in particular
within the financial sector.
Alix has specialist experience in dealing with complaints and
misconduct matters involving senior police officers, having spent
17 months on secondment as acting solicitor to the Metropolitan
Police Authority. During her secondment she also provided more
general advice on the wider statutory powers and duties of police
authorities and police authority members. She continues to work for
the MPA and other police authorities and also trains individuals
who have to deal with complaint and misconduct matters involving
the police.
Alix has also been instructed by several Police forces to
provide specialist consultancy advice in relation to potential
criminal proceedings in healthcare settings.
Alix is a member of the Association of Regulatory &
Disciplinary Lawyers (ARDL).
