Gemma Rusling is a specialist employment lawyer and has
experience of contentious and non-contentious employment work for a
variety of both public
and private sector employers.
Gemma has experience of defending legal
proceedings brought by employees on a variety of matters including
unfair dismissal, discrimination and part-time worker
detriment.
Gemma has also advised employers on
responding to statutory questionnaires. She has also advised
employers on their obligations to make adjustments to accommodate
disabled employees, sickness absence, redundancy and the terms and
conditions of employment. Gemma also has experience preparing
agreements negotiating an employee's exit from a
company.
Gemma also has experience of acting for
individuals to advise them on their employment rights and to
negotiate an exit from a business.
Gemma has written an article for the
Employment Law Journal and has also assisted with the updating of
Xpert HR’s online chapters on the Monitoring of Employees and
Personal Transactions and Inducements. Gemma has also written case
summaries for The Company Secretary's Review.
Gemma has co-presented seminars for
clients and HR managers within the retail sector on a number of
topics including, social media and disciplinary and
grievances.
