Jonathan has very broad civil litigation and dispute resolution
experience acquired over 16 years specialising in this area of
legal practice. His practice covers cases of breach of contract,
breach of trust, misrepresentation, negligence, breach of
confidence and civil fraud.
He has acted for listed companies, businesses, high-net worth
individuals, entrepreneurs and other private clients in cases at
all levels of the English legal system, at Tribunals and public
inquiries. A number of cases in which he has acted have been
reported.
Jonathan has experience across a wide range of sectors with
particular experience of acting for international clients from the
Middle East and Japan, as well as significant experience gained in
relation to multi-jurisdictional litigation relating to the estate
of a Georgian oligarch.
Jonathan also has experience of FSA investigations and
enforcement action, particularly relating to insider dealing and
market abuse and sports-related regulatory disputes.
Another area of specialisation is the termination of company
executives' contracts and related issues concerning
post-termination restrictive covenants.
He has resolved a number of disputes by mediation.
