Prof. Dr. Fabian Stancke is of Counsel with Field Fisher
Waterhouse and a Professor of Law at the Brunswick European Law
School. He practices European and German competition law
in our Hamburg office, particularly with respect to merger
control law, cartel investigations and civil cartel laws as well as
compliance programs including audits and alleged abusive practices.
Furthermore, he has extensive experience in horizontal and vertical
co-operation agreements such as pooling and distribution
agreements, market information projects, technical co-operation and
product development agreements as well as on business associations’
work and IP litigation. He has also in-depth experience in complex
financial/insurance law, particularly supervisory law.
Fabian has substantial industry experience, particularly in the
sectors of banking and insurance, health care, shipping and
transport, automotive, internet and media and retail.
Before joining Field Fisher Waterhouse, Fabian Stancke practiced
competition law as a lawyer at a major international law firm, as
competition counsel at the group legal department of Allianz SE in
Munich, a global leader in the financial services and insurance
sector and as a research associate with one of the most reputable
competition law professors in Germany.
Fabian Stancke lectures and publishes regularly on topics
concerning European and German competition law. He is a member of
the reputable Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V. and listed in
“JUVE-Handbook 2010/2011” (German equivalent to
“Chambers”) as a “frequently recommended counsel”.
Fabian is fluent in German and English.
