Tim Suter is a lawyer in our Public Regulatory Law Group.
He has particular experience of acting as a public inquiry
solicitor, assisting those conducting independent public inquiries,
investigations and inquests. He has previously acted as the
assistant solicitor to the Baha Mousa Public Inquiry where he
provided legal advice to the Chairman, Sir William Gage. He
has recently completed a secondment as the deputy solicitor to the
inquests in to the London Bombings of 7 July 2005 which were
conducted by Lady Justice Hallett. Tim is currently
representing witnesses to the Al Sweady Public
Inquiry.
He has previously worked as a criminal defence solicitor,
regularly appearing in the magistrates and youth courts and was an
accredited police station adviser and duty solicitor. He
subsequently worked as an advisory lawyer at the Criminal Appeals
Office in the Royal Courts of Justice, assisting with the
preparation of appeals to the Court of Appeal Criminal
Division.
