Dr. Ulrike Till is a partner in our Düsseldorf office. She is both a qualified solicitor (England & Wales) and Rechtsanwalt (Germany) with extensive experience of patent proceedings both in the English and German Courts.
Having studied Chemistry and Biochemistry and read for a DPhil in Theoretical and Physical Chemistry she is one of the few lawyers versed in the science arena. The combination of skills uniquely place her to advice clients in the chemical, pharmaceutical and life science sectors.
She also has substantial experience in the telecoms and electronics arena having acted both in UK patent infringment proceedings relating to standard essential patents and German patent infringment and validity proceedings relating to smart phone technologies. She has also acted for clients in the computer games industry.
Due to her double qualification as both a German and English lawyer, and consequently working across both jurisdictions, Dr. Till has acted widely for international clients in customs seizures, parallel patent proceedings and worldwide IP enforcement strategies including patents, utility models and design rights. She has experience of co-ordinating international patent disputes as well as acting in the German and UK Courts.
She has drawn on her science background to advise on freedom to operate enquiries and the assessment of patent portfolios in IP driven transactions and license agreements.
