Guy Usher heads the Derivatives &
Structured Finance Group. He has
specialised in derivatives for over 20
years. He advises on putting derivatives, committed repo and
liquidity lines into complex structured financings (CMBS, RMBS,
CDOs, leveraged finance structures) as well as advising on products
in credit, equity, fund, commodity and property derivatives, both
OTC and exchange-traded. He also provides advice on netting,
collateral, defaults, restructurings and central
clearing.
Guy specialises in the financial institutions sector and his clients
include global investment banks, broker-dealers, investment
managers, hedge funds and other end-users.
Guy is co-author of the firm’s highly
acclaimed Summary of ISDA Legal Opinions on Close-Out Netting and
wrote the chapter on ISDA Documentation in the recent book,
Practical Derivatives: A Transactional Approach, published by Globe
Law and Business. Guy sits on various ISDA working groups, and
regularly speaks on derivatives and structured finance at external
conferences.
