Guy Usher
undertakes a variety of structured finance work and heads up the
Derivatives & Structured Finance Group. He has specialised in
derivatives for over 20 years. He advises on putting
derivatives, committed repo and liquidity lines into complex
structured financings (CMBS, RMBS, CDOs, leveraged finance
structures) as well as advising on new products in areas such as
credit, equity, fund, commodity and property derivatives. He also
provides project advice on bank reorganisations and netting and
collateral.
Guy specialises in the financial
institutions sector and his clients include global investment
banks, broker-dealers, investment managers, hedge funds and other
end-users.
Guy is co-author of the firm’s highly acclaimed Summary of
ISDA Legal Opinions on Close-Out Netting and wrote the chapter
on ISDA Documentation in the recent book, Practical
Derivatives: A Transactional Approach, published by Globe Law
and Business. Guy sits on various ISDA working groups, and
regularly speaks on derivatives and structured finance at external
conferences.
