Alan is a Partner specialising in construction and engineering law. He has
experience advising clients at all levels, including property
developers, owner occupiers, tenants, contractors, sub-contractors
and other construction professionals. His experience covers the
whole of the construction project spectrum - from high value, or
high-profile construction projects to niche consultant or
specialist sub-contractor appointments in both traditional
construction projects and PFI/PPP construction contracts including
some of the largest projects currently being procured in
Europe.
Alan's practice extends to giving ongoing advice to employers
and project teams during the life of a project to assist in
contract operation and management as well as giving advice on
dispute management and avoidance. He has also advised clients in
the context of construction adjudications and mediations allowing
him to provide a full service offering to his clients.
Alan operates in the technology &
communications, energy and natural
resources, life sciences, hotels & leisure, not-for-profit, public sector, retail,
sport and transport sectors.
Alan is a regular speaker on construction law issues and
developments at events including breakfast briefings, client
presentations and training workshops and to professional bodies
including the Institute of Civil Engineers. He has recently
published article in Building magazine and
Construction News and appeared as guest editor in the
Construction Law Journal.
