Acquisition finance

The current economic climate has made finding finance for acquisitions challenging. Financiers are becoming more cautious in their lending and this is reflected in increasingly demanding covenant requirements and more sophisticated inter-creditor arrangements. However, some potential targets have also become available on very attractive terms which is an opportunity for those borrowers who can overcome these financing requirements.

Our service

Our acquisition finance team has extensive experience of advising on the funding of corporate acquisitions. We have advised banks and other finance houses on numerous financings as well as borrowers who wish to obtain funds from them. With this experience and insight, we are able to identify, and provide you with commercially realistic and cost effective solutions, whether you are a borrower or lender.

Our whole team has M&A expertise, so we can also undertake due diligence and review your acquisition documents. We also have access to other specialists, for example in tax, pensions and employment, for the review of warranties and indemnities and negotiation of service agreements.
