Notable deals:
  • Advising the Highways Agency on its innovative Category Management procurement framework with a combined estimated value in excess of £20bn across the five frameworks based on the NEC3 forms of contract.  We led on the development of the pathfinder project and continue to advise on subsequent stages and implementation of best practice

  • Advising the Ministry of Communications in Turkmenistan on the civil works contracts for the construction of two satellite control base stations in the country by a Dubai based contractor under the FIDIC form of contract

  • Acting for the successful party in a number of reported decisions in the Technology and Construction Court, including the recent case of Jerram Falkus Construction Ltd v Fenice Investments Inc [No 4] providing authority on a number of provisions of the JCT forms of contract

  • Advising Solaris Developments and B&W Energy on a number of renewable energy projects including advising on contracts for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of three major solar powered installations on Thames Water sites

  • Advising BP on a number of projects including in relation to a high profile fuel storage plant and the construction of a new facility using modular construction technologies

  • Advising the University of London on the procurement of a major fit out works contracts for refurbishment works to its grade II* listed headquarters together with the associated consultancy appointments and a series of contract renegotiation packages

  • Advising Viacom in relation to the £10m (circa) refurbishment of the network's studios in Camden

  • Advising Corby Borough Council on dispute management and in the successful defence of an adjudication claim concerning works carried out at its signature premises forming part of the town centre redevelopment program.  The claim was the second largest ever brought against the Council

  • Advising Shell Pensions Trust on the construction issues related to the sale and disposal of property assets with a collective value in excess of £100m
